As someone who has always dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur, I’ve focused on an academic foundation that would make me well-rounded and prepared to run a business one day. Studying marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship has given me a blend of creative thinking, analytical skills, and strategic decision-making that I know will serve me as a future founder. My long-term dream is to start my own jewelry business, one that specifically focuses on ethical, clean, tarnish-free pieces that are still affordable. Every class I’ve taken has reinforced this goal, helping me understand not only how to create a product people love, but also how to position it in the market, manage finances responsibly, and think like an entrepreneur.

Currently, marketing feels like the perfect place to start. Working in the Amazon DSP retail media space has shown me how powerful data, storytelling, and customer understanding really are, skills that will translate directly into launching an ethical jewelry brand someday. I’ve also had hands-on experience running my own Etsy shop, which taught me the realities of product photography, customer messaging, pricing, and building trust with buyers. Those early lessons were small but meaningful reminders that entrepreneurship is a combination of creativity and discipline. Working in marketing is helping me strengthen those skills even further, giving me the confidence to grow into a business owner who understands both the brand vision and the strategy behind it.

Over the past couple years, my goals have become clearer: I want to create an online jewelry business centered around quality, transparency, and accessible pricing. I’m passionate about building a brand that feels personal, thoughtful, and grounded in sustainability, values I don’t always see in fast-fashion jewelry. Everything I’m learning now, from campaign insights to financial planning, will play a role in that future. My academic background, my work in marketing, and my Etsy experience have all reinforced that entrepreneurship is where I feel most myself. I’m excited to keep learning, keep building, and eventually bring that jewelry brand to life.
